Covid-19 Update

Face-to-face Sessions are back!

As a Mental Health Practioner, my Insurance Company will now permit me to open for face-to-face sessions with all of the government safety measures in place. For safety reasons I would strongly encourage you to consider the online treatment option where possible. Due to the required cleaning protocols between each client, availability of face-to-face sessions is more limited.

You will be required to provide signed consent that you are happy to agree on the basis of the measures I have put in place. You can download the full document here, print and complete ahead of your first consultation or I can provide a copy for you to sign on arrival.

My Responsibilities:

  • Handwashing facilities using paper towels, hand sanitiser gel and disposable facemasks are available upon arrival.
  • The couch and pillow will be covered with clean cotton sheets that have been washed at 60 degrees centigrade. These will be refreshed between each client.
  • Thorough cleaning of surfaces both before and after each appointment.
  • A minimum of 1 metre space between us during the session.
  • I will wear a clear face visor for your protection.
  • Therapy room windows will be open throughout the session.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Wearing of facemasks is compulsory throughout the session.
  • Please either wash or sanitise hands upon arrival.
  • Please do not attend your appointment if you feel unwell (temperature, new persistent dry cough, loss of sense of taste or smell).
  • If you receive a positive Covid test result but otherwise feel well, an online appointment can be considered.

Online Hypnotherapy Sessions using Zoom

The online platform, Zoom, is live and interactive and very easy to use. I have been conducting online sessions for the past 18 months now and the results are just as fantastic!

Free resources for your mental health

These resources are here for you to watch, utilise and download for free as you wish. I am extremely passionate about helping others and offering support in what are certainly unprecedented circumstances.

This package is aimed at anyone who feels they may be struggling with their mental health and maybe wants to try some self-help before they feel they need to seek further support.

You may be in a position where you are worried about your future career prospects or that you may not have a job to go back to post-lockdown.  You may feel you are not in a position to make a financial commitment just now.

Even if you’re just interested in understanding and having more information about how to better look after your own mental health, or the mental health of others that you are close to, then these resources are designed to help and support you too.

Whatever your situation, my deepest wish is that these resources will help to make a positive difference in your lives.

This package includes 4 elements:

  • Video 1 – Three Key Facts – this provides an introduction about why I felt compelled to do this and provides some key information about how our brains work. I’m sure you’ll recognise much of this in yourselves and it will help you to better manage how you perceive things going forward.
  • Video 2 – Six Simple Steps – STEADY – in this video I run through a simple but effective strategy for supporting your mental health should you find yourself feeling anxious or low.  It is designed to work in conjunction with the other resources and information I have provided.  Therefore, I recommend that you watch Video 1 before you move on to this video.
  • A graphic of the Six Simple Steps strategy – this is free for you to download, print and share as you wish.
  • A relaxation recording – this is a guided meditation and not a hypnotherapy trance.  I would not advise utilising hypnotic recordings unless your suitability for hypnosis has been assessed by a professional and where you have not provided informed consent to be hypnotised.  This too is free for you to download and listen to at your leisure.

See below for the four resources:

A free relaxation recording

Please click here to download the free MP3 recording. Please be aware that the file is about 25mb in size and may take a while to download depending on your connection speed. The MP3 is inside a zip archive, so once you have downloaded it just unzip and then save the file. If you’re not sure how to do that, see this article.

Please let me know what’s helpful

I would love to hear from you to know whether or not you found these resources helped you in some way.  I welcome constructive feedback as it really helps me in improving the quality of the services and resources I am able to offer in the future.

I am here to support you so please contact me and if I can help and offer support and advice then I am very happy to do so. Look after yourselves and stay safe and I look forward to that time when we can safely meet in person once more.
